Terribly Two and a Half

Well, my sweet Colby has entered it.  The terrible twos have hit.  This little stinker can be sassy!  Oh, but he is so darn cute it is kinda hard to get mad at him.  I mean, look at that face.  Yeah- he pretty much has us wrapped around his finger.  He's pretty funny lately too.  Today he has been walking around saying "holy cow balls!" (i have no idea where he got that) and lately has been calling himself "stanky" (again, no clue where he got that from).  He even told the lady in the check out line that his name was "Colby Stanky."  He still slaps his bell ALL the time (which I hope he doesnt quit any time soon). And amidst all the "nos!" and "i do it myselfs!" he still is cuddly, lovey boy. We love you stanky!

Another year of preschool is here. Caleb is going 3 days a week for 4yr old preschool this year.  He was excited about school and has had a great first 2 days.  On day one he came home talking about one little girl in particular which he said "she's a girl and she is cute, but not like a baby cute" and on day 2 he cracked me up as he came in the door threw his bookbag down and said "Whew, little Levi....that was a hard day at school." My little man is getting so big!  And sweet Colby is so sad about this whole preschool business. He cries when Caleb leaves (if you look close you may see the tears in the pic below).  And when we go pick Caleb up, he says "my turn to go to school now."  Not yet buddy, stay little please.

Braves Games

My parents were in town a few weeks ago and we went to Star Wars night at Turner Fieid.  It was Levi's first Braves game, and of course he loved it.  We had to make sure the boy got to see Chipper (or "Shipper" as colby says) play before he retires.  It was also great fun to see all the star wars characters...the boys loved it.

Welcome to the world Boone & Noah

We have 2 new nephews! Boone Winston Chandler was born on July 21st and Noah John Guarnieri on July 26.  Both boys are less than 3 months younger that Levi and we are blessed to live close to both of these sweet boys.  Levi may not know it yet, but these boys will surely to be two of his best friends.

Well, we are back in Georgia.  We had a great month at Trail West but it is always sweet to be home again.  We loved being at a family camp and watching families spend time together and hear the gospel. We loved being with other YL staffers too.  Assignments create such a sweet community and we will miss that.  The boys made many friends, had so much fun, and got lotsa love and attention. Happy Boy!

This is the face I get to wake up to every morning.  Levi is a big, happy boy! All these pics are from around 10 weeks old.  He has gotten very smiley. He is still a very content baby who rarely cries. We are all smitten with this sweet baby boy!

Cowboy Night

Just a little update from Trail West.  We are still having a great time.  I'm just starting to get used to walking up big hills with all 3 boys (usually carrying Levi and dragging colby behind).  The boys are making lots of friends.  The first group of guests just left and a new crew will come tomorrow.  The pictures below are from the Western Night.  The boys had a big time getting dressed up.  

Levi is getting big..he is 2 months old now! He still sleeps alot, but when hes awake he's very smiley and so so sweet. He hardly cries and his favorite place to be is snuggled up on mommy or daddy's chest.

Trail West

We're in Colorado! One of the really great perks of Young Life staff is assignment, where you go and work at a YoungLife camp for a month.  We are at Trail West and are loving it so far.  Chad is summer staff boss- working with the college kids that came to volunteer.  Its gorgeous here, the boys love it! They have rocks and sticks and dirt and mountains and are in little boy heaven.  They also love all the attention the workcrew and summer staff give them.  They have Caleb convinced he is the strongest little boy ever and Colby convinced he is the cutest.  I love watching other people love on my boys. And little Levi has been the BEST baby ever.  He just goes wherever we go, sleeps wherever, and is so stinking cute.

We decided it was time for Levi to take his first plunge in the swimming pool.  I didnt think he would like it, but I was wrong. He was very content.  Good thing since his big brothers have us at the pool every chance they get!
